Internal photo of my grandparent’s shop at 189 Ourimbah Rd, Mosman in 1970.
That’s my grandfather, Arthur Booth in the background and my aunt.
Purchased in 1960 and closed in 1971 after the clearways imposed in Ourimbah Rd, fairly much ruined the business.
My father, T.O. Booth also worked here with his brother Arthur D Booth Jr.
I have some very early memories looking up at the counter and seeing the milk shake mixers.

I used to live in 55 Rosebery Street just opposite your parents house. I remember lots of the local history he told me, including fishing down near Joel’s Boatshed to help feed the family.
Are both your parents still alive and thriving up on the Central Coast?

Hi Andrew
I remember you grandfather very well. I lived at 108 Awaba Street and we often went there. I think he was the one into photography.
My father was Bill Smith at Whittle's. I only became aware of part of this site in late April after touring Lake Eyre. One of our fellow tourers put me in touch with the Library, but the link they sent did not include this site. How wonderful.
