The eight story steel framework above Sydney Amateurs stood, like this, exposed to the seasons for well over a year. A couple of developers went under and it was eventually finished as Kareela Court at 4 Kareela Road.
The congested Mosman Bay of today was a lonnng way off.

Do you have any photos of 4 Kareela Road Cremorne prior to the development of the steel structure being built in your top photo.
When I was a baby and until I was about 3 my parents lived in the large flat attached to my Grandparents home which was 4 Kareela Road. They sold the big old home and purchased the top unit at Swept Rocks in Musgrave Street Mosman. I remember my Grandparents saying how sad they were to see the old home demolished and so many memories when with it.
